Cardiovascular Technician

Position - Cardiovascular TechnicianLocation – 440 W 114th St, New York, NY 10025Contract - 3 months with the possibility of extensionKey Responsibilities:Monitor patient blood pressure and report changes from baseline to physicians. Interpret intracardiac pressures and record readings during procedures. Maintain accurate procedure documentation using Cardiac Cath Lab computer systems. Calibrate and operate equipment, including A-Vox, Cardiac Output, and ACT systems. Provide physicians with required equipment such as catheters, wires, balloons, and stents. Analyze and process procedural data and print required reports. Set up, calibrate, and monitor intra-aortic balloon pumps during procedures and patient transfer. Assist in emergency situations, including defibrillation, artificial resuscitation, suctioning, and external pacing. Operate power injectors for contrast dye injections. Prepare sterile fields and assist during cardiac catheterization procedures. Set up procedure rooms and enter patient information into DX systems. Replenish supplies, perform preventative equipment maintenance, and report malfunctions. Assist nursing staff with patient transport between departments. Learn and apply new cardiac cath lab technologies and procedures. Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required. Basic knowledge of the MS Office Suite preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced clinical environments. Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
