Business Development Account Manager

POSITION SUMMARY The Account Manager, Business Development is responsible for growing the CDMO business through prospecting, developing new business relationships, quoting and closing business in line with commercial strategy shared by CCO and VP BD. This role will also manage existing client relationships. This role reports to the Vice President, Business Development.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESBusiness Development & Revenue GrowthIdentify, qualify, and close new business opportunities for tech transfer and commercial across drug substance, drug product, and fill-finish services, including lead generation and initial outreachBuild and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned with revenue targetsSupport the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting, through CDA, quoting, and contract executionNegotiate tech transfer and commercial agreements including pricing, scope and contract terms with support of VP BDSupport management of existing client relationships, ensuring timely follow-up and coordinationAct as primary commercial point of contact for assigned clientsMarket Intelligence & Industry EngagementMaintain strong awareness of CDMO market trends, client pipelines, and competitive dynamicsRepresent the organization at industry events (e.g., BIO, CPhI, DCAT) to generate leads and enhance brand visibilityProvide actionable market feedback to internal stakeholdersCommercial Operations & CRM DisciplineMaintain accurate and up-to-date pipeline, forecasts, and client interactions in CRM systemsAdhere to internal processes for opportunity qualification, proposal development, and approvalsFollow required trainings, policy and proceduresQualificationsMinimum of 5-10 years of experience in business development, sales support, account management, or related role (CDMO, pharma, biotech preferred)Demonstrated success in selling sterile fill/finish CDMO servicesStrong organizational and project management skills with attention to detailExcellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skillsProficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office toolsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment* Remote position- but Phoenix (close to ROIS production plant) or east coast preferred.
