Controller

Family-owned company based in the Western Suburbs is looking to hire a sharp Controller for their 30 year old business. The Controller will be responsible for managing the accounting functions, with an emphasis on cash management and inventory control. The Controller will lead a team but will also be a very hands-on player/coach. This is a high exposure role with a path to CFO down the road!Key Responsibilities:Lead the monthly close and reporting processOversee operational accounting including AP, AR, Payroll.Handle daily cash management and cash forecastingCreate a strong internal control structureImprove processes and build out infrastructure to meet increasing demands of the growing business.Work closely with the CFO to train on additional areas such as HR, IT, legal, insurance, etc.Supervise, develop, and lead staff membersHandle special projectsWork cross-functionally with sales and operations to Requirements: BS in AccountingMust have experience working for a small privately-owned business (
