DescriptionWe are looking to hire an Athletic Equipment Service Technician to work with our Athletic Team. This position is responsible for providing service and customer support during field visits or dispatches, managing all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks and diagnosing errors or technical problems while determining proper solutions. Products that will be serviced will include, gym eqpt. back-stops, basketball hoops, scoreboard, shot clocks, and bleachers.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily, with or without accommodations. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Responsibilities:Manage key customer projects/orders and orders that are assigned by Project Manager SupervisorMaintain and or increase expected profit levelsMaintain open communication with all parties involved in the project. Providing timely, professional written responses to customers inquiries concerning the product, schedules, installation, conflicts problems, vendors, etc., as may be requiredDevelop & coordinate schedules to ensure projects are completed on time. Including but not limited to product delivery, installation (either in-house or with subcontracted installers), production keeping in mind lead times, site meetings, punch list, phasing, etc.Prepare and submit necessary change orders reflecting the change of cost/sell price relative to a customer's request for additions, deletions, and/or modifications, while up-selling whenever possiblePromptly removing any obstacles or hindrances which prevent the timely collection of monies from customers. Forecasting. Communicate billing schedule, assist in creating a schedule of values and determine taxable products/dollar amounts with our accounting team. This includes approving vendor invoices for payment promptlyAttending site meetings when required (dependent on project) and maintaining customer relations with the site coordinator and other tradesReview, understand and manage projects in accordance with terms and conditions provided on project contract documentsParticipate in various negotiations with customers, architects, and sub-contractors to protect company interestsWork with the Sales team to develop and nurture new and existing clientsPerform and/or attend internal/external training that is relative to other employees as may be requiredTravel to job sites to inspect work and participate in various meetings such as Trade Coordination meetings, Company presentations, and Installation Coordination meetings as requiredDevelop necessary internal and external relationships to successfully manage projects to meet or exceed customer expectationsWork with Project Manager Supervisor to develop programs for improving/enhancing processes with H2I Groups, Inc.All employees are responsible for complying with company procedures and safety requirements including reviewing the work area daily for potential safety and health hazards, reporting potential hazards to their supervisors as well as reporting any work-related injuries or illnesses to their supervisors as wellThis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or efforts associated with the positionRequirementsQualifications: Must be punctual, presentable, professionalMust be able to use and have experience using various hand toolsMust leave all projects 100% complete, clean and documentedMust be able to take, and follow directions given by a Service Manager or Operations managerAbility to read schematics and shop drawingsAbility to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service equipmentAbility to communicate well with supervisors and clientsMust have valid driver's license in order to provide services to the customer, position also requires checking into schools and job sites or obtain badgesPhysical Requirements: Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.Position requires the applicant to climb and work off scaffold or work in electric scissor liftsPosition requires kneeling, crawling, climbing, stretching, and sittingStand or walk for 8+ hoursMust have ability to lift both arms overheadMust possess keen vision and hearingArm, hand & finger dexterity with both hands involved in activities such as reaching, handling and feelingWorking Conditions: This position requires occasional daily projects that are further than 50 miles from our regional officeThis position may require overnight stays for 1-4 nights on projects 150 miles or further from our officeThis position requires extensive driving to and from jobsites typically on your own.
