Grill Cook - Seasonal Full-Time

Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook grill items such as burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, chicken, pizza, and specialty menu items.Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before service.Ensure food is prepared quickly, safely, and consistently according to resort standards.Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grills, fryers, prep areas, and kitchen equipment.Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.Assist with food prep, inventory rotation, and restocking supplies.Monitor food temperatures and proper storage procedures.Provide friendly and professional interaction with guests.Assist with special events, cookouts, and seasonal activities hosted by the resort.QualificationsPrevious grill cook, line cook, or kitchen experience preferred.Knowledge of safe food handling practices.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.Preferred SkillsExperience in hospitality, campground, or resort settings.Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy periods.Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.Working ConditionsWork in a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen environment. It will require evening, weekend, and/or holiday shifts based on business demands.Potential exposure to hot surfaces, sharp utensils, and cleaning chemicals.This is a full-time, seasonal position working at Sun Outdoors New Orleans North Shore.
