(3-Month Minimum $140 $150/hr Travel & Lodging Covered) Position OverviewA Behavioral Health outpatient clinic serving adult Veterans is seeking a Locum Tenens Psychiatrist for onsite coverage in McMinnville, Tennessee. This role supports ongoing mental and behavioral health services while the clinic recruits for a permanent provider.This assignment requires a minimum 3-month commitment, with the option to extend or transition to a longer-term arrangement.Travel, lodging, and rental car are fully covered. Position DetailsLocation: McMinnville, TNSetting: Outpatient Behavioral HealthSchedule: Monday Friday, 8 hours per dayDuration: 3-month minimum; ongoing until permanent hireCall: NonePatient Population: Adult VeteransPay Rate: $140 $150/hrTravel & Lodging: Covered by clientStart Date: As soon as credentialed ( days typical) ResponsibilitiesPerform psychiatric evaluations and ongoing behavioral health managementDiagnose and treat a wide range of mental and behavioral health conditionsConduct individual, group, family, and couples therapy as appropriateOrder and interpret diagnostic tests; provide follow-up and treatment planningCollaborate with primary care clinicians, nurses, and support staff to coordinate careReview outside medical records and co-manage care within established guidelinesComplete documentation using VISTA/CPRSProvide patient education related to treatment plans, wellness, and preventionParticipate in case management activities as neededMaintain compliance with all clinic and regulatory standardsEnsure timely completion of clinical reminders and required reportingMaintain confidentiality and provide high-quality, respectful patient interactions Required QualificationsMD or DO with training in PsychiatryBoard Certified preferred; Board Eligible may be considered with experienceActive, unrestricted Tennessee medical licenseDEA, BLS, and ACLSMinimum 1 3 years of clinical experienceAbility to work independently in an outpatient psychiatry setting Support & WorkflowCollaborative primary care and behavioral health teamRN and MA supportScheduled appointments with occasional walk-insNo inpatient duties, no nights, and no call CredentialingTimeline: daysRequirements: CV, NPDB report, license, DEA, certifications, and standard clinical paperworkPhone interview required during selection process
