With our One UPS advantage and comprehensive service portfolio, including Polar Speed's in-network pharmacies, we are optimally positioned to keep our clients competitive in an increasingly complex market.Job PurposeEnsure the efficient use of packaging and supplies available in the warehouse to satisfy client and internal requirements.Main Duties And ResponsibilitiesEnsure that all shipments recovered are arrived and scanned at time of arrival and checked against the manifest- confirm proper pieces and weightReplenish shipments as required based on temperature requirementsLearn transportation system in order to update milestones accordinglyCreate pre alerts to agents based on location- ensure all pieces are scanned out and manifested- create flight plans for shipmentsEnsure flight plans are correctly entered into transportation management systemTake inventory of shipment within facility and ensure its handle correctly based on temperature, delivery date, special handling instructionsEscalate all inquiries concerns to senior staff and leadershipSafe handling of dry ice and shipment replenishmentManaging On Hold and ‘Not OK to Send’ shipments according to proceduresIssuing airline airway bills for domestic and international shipmentsComplete GxP documentation logsAssist in the dispatch and tendering of shipments to airlines as well as the recoveryIdentifying product keeping temperature and replenishment needs. Conditioning process for packagingPrepare shipment papers in accordance to guidelines provided by the company Arrange for adequate supply of shipping materials at all timesReceive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriatelyKeep warehouse clean and organized dailyResponsible for reviewing appropriate documentation, labeling and markings as included with each shipmentResponsible for preparing the Next Flight Out shipments.Post flight all departure to make sure shipments left on booked flightResponsible for performing other duties as required helping the Operations Team complete daily tasks.QualificationsUnderstanding operating systems (Maestro) and SOP’sExperience with cold chain management / handling of dry iceDemonstrated ability to properly label shipments (weight, contents, orientation, overpack etc.) Airline booking proceduresData entry into TMSAbility to be flexible with shift hour coverageForklift certification desiredDispatch experience desiredEmployee TypePermanentUPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.Other CriteriaUPS is an equal opportunity employer.
