Forklift Operator

We are hiring Forklift Operators for a long-term client in Warren, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for safely moving materials, tooling, and finished goods throughout the facility using forklifts (Hi-Lo), hand trucks, cranes, and other material-handling equipment. You will also support shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. Forklift Operator 1st Shift Location: Warren, MI Pay Rate: $17.50/hour Schedule: Monday Friday, 1st Shift (Mandatory Overtime) Shift & Schedule 1st Shift only Start Times: Between 4:00 AM 7:00 AM Standard Hours: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM Schedule may include 12-hour shifts 7-day workweeks, and overtime as required Typical rotation consists of 19 consecutive workdays followed by 2 days off We are hiring Forklift Operators for a long-term client in Warren, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for safely moving materials, tooling, and finished goods throughout the facility using forklifts (Hi-Lo), hand trucks, cranes, and other material-handling equipment. You will also support shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. Key Responsibilities Operate forklifts (Hi-Lo) in accordance with all safety policies and procedures Perform daily forklift inspections and complete required checklists Report equipment or property damage immediately to a supervisor Transport raw materials, WIP, tooling, MRO items, and finished goods to designated areas Load and unload trucks using forklifts or cranes Prepare and submit maintenance requests for equipment as needed Manually load and move materials using hand trucks or other tools when required Ensure dunnage is properly collapsed, stacked, and stored in designated areas Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including scrap and waste removal Prepare materials for shipment using required tools (hammers, cutters, strapping tools, crowbars) Replenish materials at point-of-use and verify proper labeling before movement Rotate stock to maintain FIFO and assist with physical inventory and cycle counts Hand-count or weight-count partial bins during changeovers and stage for retagging Perform general housekeeping duties, including emptying chip hoppers Complete other duties as assigned by supervision Qualifications Prior forklift/Hi-Lo experience preferred Ability to work mandatory overtime Strong attention to safety and detail Ability to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periodsNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
