Software Development Manager

Job Title: Software Development ManagerJob Duties: Development of new software features and products and maintain existing solutions. Project management by prioritizing, planning, and tracking project progress. Participate in the process of creating and managing the product roadmaps. Work closely with engineers, support staff, customers, stakeholders, and others to create design documentation for product enhancements/features. Assist teams with and help identify issues in software. Follow and help enhance the development lifecycle including planning, designing, testing, and deployment phases. Identify, configure, deploy, and train staff on tools required for assigned projects. For some projects participate in the review of code changes ensuring code developed by staff is high quality, efficient, supportable and utilizes best practices. Follow and help refine development best practices and standards. Work with technical writers to ensure product documentation on new features and changes are properly documented.Position supervises 1 Data Scientist, 1 Data Engineer, 3 Software Engineers.Position permits telecommuting from within the U.S.Required education: Bachelor of science or equivalent in Systems Engineering or related.Required experience: 24 months as Software Engineer Team Lead or related.Additional Minimum Requirements: work experience to include at least 24 months of the following:Agile Project development methodology and the ability to implement, teach, and coach those methodologies in active projects; AWS, Python, ES6, Angular; Managing pipeline and data centers in AWS; Cybersecurity and working within Managed Detection and Response; Objective analysis and evaluation of product development projects for employee performance evaluation purposes. 40 hours/ week.
