Overview Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly qualified Testing Director / Testing Engineer to support current and upcoming projects at the 222-S Laboratory located at the Hanford Site. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing testing, operational acceptance, and turnover processes for systems, structures, and components (SSCs) within a Hazard Category 2 nuclear facility. The selected candidate will play a critical leadership role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and managing turnover activities for major projects including Integrated Control Systems (ICS) and Vacuum Pump Installation (VPI). This position is scheduled from April 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026, following a 4/10 work schedule (Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM). Work will primarily be performed remotely at the subcontractor's location, with periodic on-site support at the Hanford Site as required. The candidate must be able to report to the Hanford Site within two (2) hours' notice during the standard work schedule. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee testing procedures for nuclear and environmental management systems and components Author, review, and release testing, operational acceptance, and turnover procedures within the Navarro-ATL Laboratory Procedure System (LPS) Develop comprehensive testing and turnover plans for major projects, including: Integrated Control System (ICS) Vacuum Pump Installation (VPI) Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and other stakeholders to: Define deliverables Assign responsibilities Establish approval workflows Develop turnover matrices Serve as Turnover Manager for assigned projects, ensuring: Collection and management of turnover documentation Timely approvals and release of deliverables Completion of final turnover reports Analyze test results and prepare detailed technical reports, including recommendations for corrective actions or improvements Ensure all testing and turnover activities comply with applicable regulatory, safety, and quality standards Education Requirements Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline and at least 5 years of relevant experience OR a minimum 10 years of directly related experience in testing and turnover of software and/or industrial control systems in lieu of a degree Qualifications Minimum 10 years of directly related experience in testing and turnover of software and/or industrial control systems in lieu of a degree Demonstrated experience working in a Hazard Category 2 or 3 nuclear facility Strong experience developing testing procedures, turnover plans, and technical documentation Experience coordinating across multidisciplinary teams including Engineering, Operations, and Quality Assurance Ability to manage multiple deliverables and stakeholders in a structured, compliance-driven environment Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting DOE or NNSA nuclear facilities Familiarity with Laboratory Procedure Systems (LPS) or similar document control systems Experience serving as a Turnover Manager on large-scale nuclear or industrial projects Knowledge of Integrated Control Systems (ICS) and/or vacuum system installations Prior experience supporting Hanford Site projects Work Schedule 4/10's (10 hours/day; four days per week).
