LOOKING FOR A QUALIFIED HOMECARE MANAGER TO LEAD OUR IN-HOMECARE DIVISION Job Summary: The Homecare Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Homecare department at ABF Healthcare Services, Inc. This role ensures that all Homecare services are delivered in compliance with the standards set forth by the state of North Carolina. The Homecare Manager will manage staff, coordinate patient care, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain high-quality service standards. Key Responsibilities: Department Leadership and Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Homecare department, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. Supervise, train, and support homecare staff, including nurses, aides, and administrative personnel. Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures in line with state regulations and company standards. Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, review performance, and address any issues. Patient Care Coordination: Coordinate and monitor patient care plans to ensure timely and appropriate services. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and review care plans. Ensure that patient needs are met and that care provided is in accordance with state regulations and best practices. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Maintain compliance with all state regulations, including those set forth by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation (DHSR). Oversee the implementation of quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of care. Conduct regular audits and assessments of homecare services to identify areas for improvement. Administrative and Financial Management: Prepare and manage the Homecare department's budget, including monitoring expenses and optimizing resource allocation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient files, billing information, and staff schedules. Ensure that all documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner, in compliance with state and company requirements. Client and Family Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and their families, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction with services. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding homecare services and care plans. Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and the community to promote the Homecare department’s services. Staff Development and Training: Identify training needs and opportunities for staff development. Coordinate and facilitate training sessions to ensure that all homecare staff are knowledgeable about state regulations, company policies, and best practices. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to support staff growth and development. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred or A Master's degree is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in homecare management or a related healthcare field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of homecare regulations, standards, and best practices as per North Carolina state requirements. Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in healthcare management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Attributes: Compassionate, detail-oriented, and capable of handling sensitive and confidential information with integrity. Working Conditions: This position may require occasional travel to patient homes or other healthcare facilities. The Homecare Manager may need to be on-call for emergencies or urgent issues.
