You’ll shape architecture, guide senior engineers, and drive standards across teams while staying close to the code.Location: Remote with quarterly travel to Sacramento, CA.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable Node.js microservices and REST APIsBuild modern React applications using hooks, component architecture, and state managementDevelop and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, and migrationsTroubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems and production environmentsWrite clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practicesParticipate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environmentSupport CI/CD pipelines, Dockerized deployments, monitoring, and modernization initiativesQualifications6+ years full stack development experience with at least 5 years in JavascriptStrong experience with microservices architecture, REST API development, and distributed systemsHands-on experience with PostgreSQL, SQL optimization, schema design, and ORMs such as Objection.js or SequelizeExperience with React ecosystem tools including Redux, Material-UI, and modern component patternsFamiliarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, automated testing frameworks, and AWS servicesStrong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills with experience supporting production systemsExperience working with large enterprise applications, legacy modernization, and complex codebases preferred
