Accounts Receivable Clerk
Summary: Perform Accounts Receivable/Billing/Collection activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Matching shippers to invoices or reports
2. Billing and emailing invoices and sending customer statements
3. Cash application
4. Collection of past due balances
5. Investigate payment discrepancies and pricing issues
6. Maintain accurate Accounts Receivable Records (shippers, invoices, debit/credit memos)
7. Preparing accounts receivable reports as necessary
8. Problem solve billing/receivable issues with internal and external customers

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend invoices, purchase orders, and memos. Ability to read and write correspondences. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization. Ability to communicate over the phone to both customers and other employees.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Attention to detail, particularly in reference to accuracy with numbers.
Physical Demands
This is a largely stationary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to move files, open filing cabinets, and move file boxes as necessary.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field a plus
Previous accounts payable experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
