Private Credit Associate/Analyst
Selby Jennings is representing a large, institutionally backed investment and asset management platform with a long-established presence in the U.S. market. The firm specializes in private credit, real estate, and private equity solutions, and deploys capital through a combination of a permanent balance sheet and third-party investor capital, creating strong alignment across strategies. The platform operates globally and manages tens of billions of dollars in assets, with a significant footprint across middle and lower middle-market investment strategies. Key ResponsibilitiesDiligence: Conduct detailed analysis of new investment opportunities through review of transaction portfolios and sponsor capabilities; and quantitative analyses to assess financial performance of underlying assets in support of investment underwriting.Underwriting: Preparation of materials for Investment Committee consideration including investment memoranda, supporting documentation and analyses, and financial modeling. Monitoring: Management of the GP Solutions investment portfolio including review and synthesis of quarterly and annual reporting investment sponsors, internally constructed valuation analyses, preparation of quarterly and annual investment activity and performance reporting for investors, and annual third-party audit supportOther: Pipeline management; assist as needed with other assignments and in outside business development efforts; establish strong working relationships with other team members, operate effectively with limited oversight while meeting tight timelinesQualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited top tier university with a degree in finance, economics, or related field with a 3.5 minimum GPA1-2+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Credit, or related fields with relevant internships Prior direct investing/investment banking or lending/credit experience preferred but not requiredHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointExcellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneouslyAbility to work independentlyPersonal interest in investing and Private EquityTies to and/or desire to reside in Dallas for the long term
