Grant Accountant – Metro AccessibleAbout the Company and Opportunity:Our client is a health focused nonprofit organization in DC who has been around for 150 years!Due to a vacancy our client is looking to bring on a temporary Grant Accountant.This position is in-office.Duration: contract-to-hire, depending on performance, fit, and needs of the business.Schedule is Monday – Friday 9am-5pm. 35 hour work week. 1 hour lunch.Pay: $31-35/hr ~ perm salary $65,000-$73,000 annually.Some of the employees say:“My supervisors worked hard and worked smart. Organized and flexible.”Overview of the Grant Accountant role:Grant Financial ManagementOversee grant revenues and expenditures over several programsCompliance for federal, state, and private grantsMonitor spending and budgetsPrepare grant continuation documentationGrant applicationsReportingAccounts ReconciliationsReconcile grant accounts and ensure proper allocation of expensesRecord all grant-related transactions into the GLPreferred Qualifications for the Grant Accountant:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required3-5 years of grant accounting experienceIntermediate Excel – Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.Knowledge of iMIS and Great Plains is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication #INFEB2026
