Direct Support Professional
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and possess a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene
- Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and objectives
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for individuals under care
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans
Experience
- Previous experience in patient care, home health, hospice care, or related field preferred
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of group home, long term care, and home care settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Background in social work is a plus

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 40 per week
