Pronto’s autonomous trucks run on an advanced perception stack that uses cameras and other sensors to choose drivable paths, avoid obstacles, and maintain safety at all times. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with state-of-the-art techniques as well as implementing and maintaining production-stable applications of new features. This role has ample opportunities for growth.Core ResponsibilitiesStress testing entire perception system to find operating limitsImproving camera calibration techniquesBuilding tooling to iteratively improve our data pipeline through active learningCreating tooling to extract data from vehicle logsTesting applications for neural nets on autonomous vehiclesHyperparameter tuningImplementing camera / lidar world space to image space transformationsRequirementsProficient with python, git, linux, PyTorchFamiliarity with common computer vision libraries and techniques including camera calibration and camera projectionsAble to create and debug software systems: building maintainable code with good diagnostics that scaleExcellent at handling ambiguous or undefined problemsStrong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in a multidisciplinary team and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Strong portfolio of projects related to perceptionPreferred: 2+ years professional experience writing software relevant to perception
