Software Developer

Overview We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team in Red Bank, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving software related to estimating and engineering drawings for the precast concrete industry. This role involves working on desktop applications and integrations that support our engineering and production workflows. Key Responsibilities Maintain and enhance existing VB.NET WPF applications. Work with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) for data management and reporting. Support and update MS Access applications integrated with Outlook. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve tools for estimating and AutoCAD-based drawings. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices. Required Skills Strong proficiency in VB.NET and WPF development. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, views). Familiarity with MS Access development and integration. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Knowledge of C# and .NET frameworks. Experience with Microsoft Azure services (Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure AD). Familiarity with AutoCAD or engineering drawing workflows. Experience with Entity Framework Core and REST API development. Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions). Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: Recommended: 3–5 years of professional experience in VB.NET/WPF development with database integration. Exposure to engineering or estimating software is a plus.
