Your expertise will help foster a culture of safety excellence, ensuring all operations adhere to MSHA and other relevant safety regulations.DutiesConduct comprehensive safety inspections on mining sites to identify hazards and ensure compliance with MSHA and local safety standardsAssist in developing and implementing safety protocols, risk management strategies, and occupational health programs tailored to mining activitiesSupport incident investigations by gathering evidence, documenting findings, and recommending corrective actions related to workers' compensation claims and safety violationsCollaborate with project manager to facilitate compliance efforts and promote a culture of safety awareness among workersMaintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, compliance documentation, and risk assessments for ongoing monitoring and reportingRequirementsCurrent MSHA 5000-23 preferredMSHA Bluecard preferredProven experience working in mining environments with a strong understanding of mining site safety practicesKnowledge of MSHA regulationsFamiliarity with risk management techniques and occupational health best practicesStrong communication skills to effectively train teams, report findings, and collaborate with diverse stakeholdersAbility to perform detailed site inspections, hazard assessments, and emergency response procedures confidentlySite operates 24/7/365 - must be available to work any day of the weekCurrent DL required
