Department: Accounting & FinanceLocation: Melville, NY Compensation: $180,000 - $220,000 / yearDescriptionThe OpportunityWe are hiring a Head of Finance & Operations to join a fast-growing technology company operating at the intersection of cloud software and physical product-based commerce solutions.This is not a narrow accounting role. It is a high-impact, hands-on finance position for someone who thrives in environments where finance is deeply connected to how the business actually runs.You will own core financial operations while also helping shape how the company scales operationally. This includes improving systems, tightening processes, and partnering across the business to ensure we are making clear, data-driven decisions across both software and inventory-driven workflows.The right person will be equally comfortable:Building structure where it doesn’t exist yetWorking directly in the details of financial models and operational processesPartnering cross-functionally to improve how the business runs day to dayThis role sits close to the center of the business and requires someone who can balance precision, speed, and practical decision-making in a high-growth environment.You will also support commercial contract review and negotiation workflows, working alongside external counsel to ensure agreements are structured appropriately, commercially sound, and operationally executable.The CompanyWe are a small team with a big vision: to be the premier provider of cloud technology solutions for retailers. This person should drive clarity, build systems, and execute efficiently in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.Contract & Risk Management: Skilled at reviewing, negotiating, and operationalizing contracts — understanding legal and business implications, managing risk, and ensuring favorable terms while working closely with external counsel when needed.The impact you'll makeFinancial Operations & ControlOwn core finance operations including AP/AR, cash flow management, and reconciliationsMaintain accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and close processesSupport budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial planning cyclesBuild and refine financial reporting frameworks to improve visibility and decision-makingOperational Finance & Business SupportPartner with teams across Sales, Product, and Operations to align financial execution with business prioritiesSupport inventory, purchasing, and vendor-related financial workflows in a hybrid SaaS + product environmentIdentify and implement improvements to operational and financial processes as the company scalesDevelop and maintain key business KPIs across both SaaS and product linesSystems, Process & ScaleOversee financial systems and tools that support reporting, operations, and scaling efficiencyImprove internal controls and strengthen financial governance as the company growsDrive automation and process improvements across finance and operational workflowsCommercial & Contract SupportReview and support negotiation of commercial agreements, vendor contracts, and SaaS-related termsWork with external counsel to ensure contracts are structured properly and align with business needsHelp operationalize contract terms into scalable internal processesStrategic SupportProvide financial insight and analysis to support leadership decision-makingSupport planning around growth initiatives, investments, and operational scaling prioritiesWhat you will bring12+ years of experience in finance or operations, with at least 3 years in a SaaS or hybrid SaaS + physical goods businessDirect experience working for founder led/owned companiesA leadership style that reflects deep ownership — you're not just setting strategy; you're in the details, understanding workflows, digging into financial models, and solving problems alongside your team.Strong grasp of finance fundamentals — budgeting, forecasting, P&L, cash flow, etc.Deep operational experience — supply chain, fulfillment, systems, or cross-functional executionProven ability to lead and scale finance operations in high-growth environmentsExceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; Excel/Sheets and financial modeling fluencyExperience reviewing and negotiating contracts, including SaaS agreements, vendor terms, and NDAsAbility to identify and escalate legal risk appropriately while managing contract processes independentlyExperience with ERP, financial systems, and SaaS metrics (MRR, CAC, LTV, etc.)Experience monetizing payments in SaaSStrong communicator and collaborator across technical and non-technical teamsAs a member of the KWI team you will receiveFull Medical, Dental and VisionAnnual bonus eligibleFree gym in the buildingGenerous PTO policySummer Fridays....all year roundTuition ReimbursementDiscount from building café401(K) with a 50% company match (up to 6% of employee contribution)Employee Referral Program(1) Volunteer day each yearOur work spaceWe understand that our teams need flexibility, which is why we follow a hybrid schedule.
