The ideal candidate will have strong experience in end-to-end electro-mechanical design for rack-mounted networking, storage, or server products and a proven ability to lead mechanical design from concept through RTM, drive cross-functional decisions, and ensure regulatory compliance.Responsibilities:Own mechanical design of rack-mounted networking products from concept to RTM.Lead design reviews, create BOMs, drive prototype validation, release ECOs, and manage regulatory compliance testing.Evaluate and integrate new cooling, interconnect, and related technologies for future solutions.Scope projects, plan resources, track deliverables, and resolve cross-functional issues.Lead technical decisions and contribute to system and unit function specifications.Establish clear technical direction aligned with HPE Networking strategy.Review plans, write specifications, and identify technical interdependencies and changes.Required Skills & Qualifications:BSME or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant electro-mechanical design experience in networking, storage, or server products.Proficiency with 3D CAD; SolidWorks preferred. Working knowledge of EPDM is a plus.Strong GD&T and complex tolerance analysis skills; familiarity with FEA.Experience with IDF and ECAD-MCAD data exchange processes.Knowledge of sheet metal design and manufacturing for low- to mid-volume production.Understanding of hard tooling for plastics, aluminum extrusions, and aluminum die castings.Thermal design proficiency, including thermal profiling or managing external thermal resources.Knowledge of advanced cooling technologies, including liquid cooling.Familiarity with NEBS, EMI/EMC, Safety, and other compliance requirements.Ability to build and manage product development schedules and budgets, including part cost and tooling estimates.Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
