This role plays a critical part in translating technical scope, material inputs, and labor assumptions into **accurate** **, defensible, and compliant proposal pricing** .This position partners closely with Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Contracts, and Compliance to support proposal reviews, fact‐finding, and negotiations.Key Responsibilities- other duties as assigned.+ Develop detailed **customer** **facing** **Basis of Estimate (BOE)** packages that clearly document assumptions, methodologies, data sources, and cost drivers for proposals.+ Build andmaintain **proposal cost models** (primarilyExcelbased) supporting labor, materials, overheads, NRE, test, and integration costs.+ Applyappropriate estimatingmethodologies (e.g.,bottomsup, analogy, historical actuals, parametric) based on proposal scope and maturity.+ Ensure internal consistency across cost element summaries, pricingrollups, and proposal narratives.**Proposal Pricing &** **Cross** **Functional** **Support**+ Partner with **Materials and Supply Chain** to validate BOM pricing, supplier quotes, lead times, and material cost assumptions.+ Collaborate with **Engineering, Manufacturing, Test, and Quality** tovalidatescopeassumptions, labor standards, and production/test strategies.+ Support Proposal Managers by meeting pricing milestones, providing cost/price inputs, and responding to clarification requests throughout the proposal lifecycle.**Compliance, Audit Readiness & Negotiation Support**+ Ensure proposal pricingcomplies withinternal estimating system requirements and Government contracting expectations for cost/pricing data.+ Prepare and maintain **audit** **ready** **pricing documentation** , including BOEs, cost models, and supporting data.+ Support customer **fact** **finding** **, cost analysis, and negotiation activities** by clearly explaining assumptions, cost drivers, and pricing rationale.+ Assistwithpostnegotiationdata updates and final pricing sweeps asrequired.**Continuous Improvement & Data Integrity**+ Participate in **estimate** **to** **actual** **comparisons** to improve future estimating accuracy and update pricing assumptions.+ Maintain organized pricing files and version control to support repeatability and traceability.+ Contribute to the refinement of BOE templates, pricing tools, and standard work.**Required Qualifications**+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).+ Experience developing **cost estimates, pricing models, or proposal pricing** for manufactured products or technical services.+ Strongproficiencyin **Excel** **based** **financial and cost modeling** .+ Ability to clearly document and communicate cost assumptions and pricing rationale.+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and compliance.**Preferred Qualifications**+ Experience supporting **Government or DoD proposals** , includingdevelopmentof Basis of Estimate (BOE) documentation.+ Background in **electronic contract manufacturing (ECM/EMS)** environments (PCBA, box build, test, integration, NRE).+ Familiarity with proposal pricing reviews, factfinding, and negotiation support.+ Exposure toestimatetoactualanalysis or continuous improvement of estimating methods.**Core Competencies**+ Cost modeling and analyticalproblemsolving+ Basis of Estimate development and documentation+ Crossfunctionalcollaboration+ Proposal schedule discipline+ Clear written and verbal communication**Success Measures**+ Ontime delivery ofaccurateBOE and pricing inputs supporting proposal deadlines+ Highquality,auditreadypricing documentation+ Reduced rework and clarification cycles during proposal reviewsand factfinding+ Improved estimate accuracy over time throughestimatetoactualfeedbackTeledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
