Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and driven Land Acquisition Agent to support oil and gas projects through the acquisition of leases, surface agreements, rights-of-way, and related land contracts. This is a field-based role (not remote) and will involve work from project inception—securing survey permissions—through to the completion of construction. The agents selected will be expected to operate independently, think critically, and bring a strong sense of professionalism and integrity to their work. Key Responsibilities: Review and interpret title work to ensure all easement documentation is complete and accurate Identify and elevate title issues that may require resolution by the Title Supervisor Assist in project planning by providing land-related insights, ownership maps, and acquisition status updates Prepare, review, and deliver lease packets, exhibits, agreements, and supporting documentation. Work directly with landowners, attorneys, surveyors, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely acquisition of land rights. Maintain detailed records of all negotiations, lease terms, contacts, and progress using company systems. Represent the company and its clients professionally in all in-person and written communications. Independently negotiate redline revisions and finalize terms with landowners and their legal counsel Provide consistent, accurate project updates and maintain clear communication with management Maintain and update client databases to reflect accurate tracking and progress Travel frequently within the project area to secure agreements and move deals forward efficiently Key Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in land acquisition, specifically in leasing and ROW work Demonstrated success as a deal closer with a strong portfolio of completed agreements Skilled at addressing landowner concerns and negotiating through obstacles to achieve signed agreements Comfortable engaging with landowners in person and navigating face-to-face negotiations Proficient in reading and interpreting legal descriptions and plotting them as needed Why Join Us?
