DescriptionWe have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Software Developer with a desire to grow while working with a skilled and highly motivated team on leading-edge work. Our team provides IT services for systems engineering and information management systems to multiple major DoD programs. Each team member has opportunities to take on responsibilities according to their experience level and professional growth goals. Our staff mentors one another in their areas of expertise, continuously enhancing the synergistic capabilities of the team.ResponsibilitiesThis position supports an established contract developing mission-critical operations. Our customer’s framework continues to evolve. Evaluating, learning, and integrating new technologies will be a constant factor in this position. The responsibilities of this role include:Serve as part of a scrum team,Actively participate in Agile ceremoniesDevelop high-quality software design and architectureIdentify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycleDevelop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient codePeer test application updatesAutomate tasks through appropriate tools and scriptingReview and debug codePerform validation and verification testingCollaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve productsDocument development phases and monitor systemsEnsure software is up-to-date with the latest technologiesWork in Windows, Unix, and Linux environmentsWork in a SCIF environmentRequirementsThe ideal candidate will have all of the following:Five (5) years of professional technical experience in the form of employment historyExperience and strong desire to invent new ways of approaching problems and developing innovative applicationsAbility to communicate ideas to coders, teammates, and managementExperience working as part of a team of developers, coders, testers, and CM specialistsExperience with the military/DoD is a bonus, but not requiredExperience using an Agile development approach is beneficialFamiliarity with geospatial web-based map development is a bonus, but not requiredCompTIA Security+, equivalent or higher (such as CISSP), or willingness to obtain, highly desiredBSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, (High School Diploma or Associates Degree acceptable for well-experienced candidates)CompTIA Security+, equivalent or higher (such as CISSP), or willingness to obtain within 90 days of the start dateThe successful candidate will have (at least) 2 years of experience in ONE of the following:C/C++C#.NETJavaPythonAmazon Web ServicesPHPData Science (with coding experience)Experience with WPF libraries, data access libraries (such as MVC)Contingent Work Eligibility RequirementsU.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain a secret security clearanceClearance Level - Final Position RequirementActive SecretTravel Required: NoPotential for Telework: Yes - One day every two weeksAbout UsHere at Zekiah, our journey is about enhancing our warfighters’ superiority by developing and integrating forward-thinking communication and technology systems.
