Staff Accountant

Position SummaryThe Company is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their Nashville based team. This position reports to the Controller and assists in the accurate preparation of transactions for the client's touring department and P&Ls.Key ResponsibilitiesRun invoicing for venue settlements and revising settlements as necessary in AtVenu and in NetsuitePrepare bank deposits for received Tour checks and record in accounting software, along with electronic paymentsTrack all nightly settlement payments and perform collections as neededTrack and tabulate expenses tying to tour settlementsWork closely with members of the touring department to close tours at their conclusionCreate Tour P&Ls based on reporting in AtVenu and NetsuiteAudit client tours between systemsTimely filing and payment of sales tax for multiple states based on touring routing & schedulesMonitor and pay tour reps for expense reports weeklyProcess payments to clients once Tour P&Ls are approvedSetup new client records in accounting software as neededQualificationsBA/BS in Accounting or relevant degree with 2+ years accounting experienceTour or music industry related experience preferredAdvanced proficiency in excelAbility to discern critical details from a range of dataExperience in NetSuite and/or other Oracle products a plusAbility to learn new POS and network systemsExcellent Customer Service skillsDesire to work in a creative environmentWillingness to own a crucial piece of the account operations
