QC ScientistJob DescriptionIn this role, you will utilize various analytical tools for large molecule analysis, including HPLC, UPLC, CGE, iCE, Cell-Based Analyses, and Compendial Testing such as pH, UV, Osmolality, and Appearance. Your work will support GMP manufacturing for commercial product testing, stability testing, and other client-requested endeavors. Experience in a cGMP environment is essential.PAY - $28-$38/hourResponsibilitiesPerform HPLC, UPLC, CGE, iCE, Cell-Based Analyses, and Compendial Testing on In-Process, DS release, and stability samples, ensuring timely project delivery.Review laboratory data packets as assigned.Conduct and author laboratory investigations as assigned.Perform GMP testing in an analytical laboratory environment using HPLC and UPLC test methods.Compile data for documentation of test procedures and prepare reports.Collaborate with team members and other departments such as quality assurance and data reviewers.Contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.Recognize and report invalid/lab incident/out-of-specification/out-of-trend results to laboratory management and recommend solutions.Perform all duties in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Safety guidelines.Participate in laboratory activities, including safety inspections and ordering supplies. Essential SkillsProven experience in a GMP-regulated environment, preferably pharmaceuticals (0-5 years).Experience with analytical techniques and required instrumentation (HPLC, UPLC, CGE, iCE, UV, pH, Osmolality, cell-based bioassays, etc.).Knowledge of GMP regulations in a cGMP manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of scientific principles for a wide range of analytical techniques.Experience with EMPOWER and MS Office and laboratory computer programs. Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in chemical pharmaceutical, biology, chemistry, biotechnology, or related field.Flexibility, good organization and planning skills, attention to detail, and a positive, collaborative demeanor are highly valued.Work EnvironmentThis position is part of a newly formed team of 6 Scientists and 1 Supervisor supporting the weekend shift within the QC Analytical team, which comprises over 80 members. You will work in a pharmaceutical lab setting, performing bench work. The role involves 4-10 hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, with flexible hours from 7 am-5 pm or 8 am-6 pm.
