We're seeking a Senior Software Development Manager to lead engineering test teams to drive highly complex integration test environments and automation at scale for Satellite hardware.Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Key job responsibilitiesLead cross-functional engineering teams (test, software, RF, wireless) for test automation for Leo networking as a system.Technical design and architecture for design of automation for Satellite hardwareBuild and scale engineering teams through effective hiring, onboarding, and talent development.Drive prioritization across workstreams, balancing stability with feature development.Partner with product, security, and operations teams to ensure high quality sw for manufacturing opertations and customer experience.Work closely with SW teams to define, and execute test plans and procedures based on requirements from new features and subsystems in the SatellitesBasic Qualifications5+ years of manufacturing, process, industrial engineering experience10+ years of engineering team management experienceBachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldExperience in engineering team managementExperience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineeringExperience developing and testing mechanical robotics equipmentExperience in system-level integrationExperience with DFx (cost, test, manufacturing)Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related fieldKnowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project, and software for technical document writing such as Visio, Word, or PowerPointExperience in technical leadership of development, testing, and implementation of large-scale, complex technology projectsExperience working as a technical leadAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
