BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER SummaryThe Business Development Manager (BDM) is a channel sales partner insuring the attainment of Yokohama Off-Highway Tires America, Inc. (YOHTA)’s revenue objectives. This position is part of the field sales organization and interfaces regularly with clients, channel partners, management, and other areas of the business. Reports to Regional Sales Manager. Due to the travel demand for this position, candidates who currently reside in Washington or Oregon are preferred and there is not relocation offered for this role.SALES TERRITORY: Washington, Oregon & AlaskaEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesManage and grow assigned territory to drive new revenue with channel partners and dealers.Expand existing relationships driving growth in each account.Grow the channel network in your region refining it for performance and revenue success in key segments.Meet or exceed revenue targetsPartner with channel and dealers to promote brands, educate sales reps and customers, communicate promotions and optimize opportunities to drive revenue results.Deliver compelling product presentations to expand product knowledge, understanding of product and customer supportReport regularly to management on forecast, sales pipeline and sales resultsTravel in the territory to all channel partners and dealers (approximately 70-80%).Attend customer sales calls with partners to assist in closing business in your region.Attend regular sales meetings with team and manager.Collaborate with and support sales and marketing to roll out regular promotions and product marketing materials that will enhance partner success and customer awareness.Support and implement sales strategy developed by Regional Sales Manager.Support and implement Company’s marketing and sales programs and initiatives.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent in related field4-8 years of experience selling tires with preference given to those whose experience most closely aligns the specific positionPrevious experience successfully growing new and existing business in a field territoryDemonstrated experience selling through a channel or dealer networkExcellent ability to work independently using proactive selling skills to create new relationships and foster existing ones.Industry knowledge.Excellent communication skillsAbility to travel in the territory up to 70% of the time ( key must)Required to live within the territoryHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail, self-directed, dependable, works as a team player and is capable of learning and communicating technical product information.Compensation & BenefitsThe base salary for this position will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location. In addition, this role is eligible to participate in a monthly commission based bonus program, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable commission plan.
