The Speech-Language Pathologist I provides diagnostic evaluations and intervention programs for children with speech, language, learning, feeding/swallowing, or hearing disorders in all settings in which services are offered including but not limited to inpatient, outpatient, outreach, and telehealth programs. The Speech-Language Pathologist I is an entry level position in a Career Advancement Program (CAP).Shift Details: 4x10 hour shifts M - ThESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAn employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.1. Completes case management activities consistent with department quality assurance and quality improvement standards. Completes written documentation in accordance with department standards for format, location, and time frames. Assists in achieving departmental financial budget targets2. Collaborates with the family, physicians, schools and other educational institutions, and other providers to ensure the continuum of care for the child and optimal clinical services. All interactions are non-judgmental and based on mutual respect.3. Demonstrates leadership and participates in systematic, planned professional development to improve the clinical, educational, research, and advocacy goals of the department and hospital.4. Completes diagnostic evaluations consistent with contemporary, evidence-based practice in speech-language pathology and department quality assurance standards. Clinician incorporates principles of cultural-competence and family-centered care into clinical services.5. Provides developmentally appropriate intervention services consistent with contemporary, evidence-based practice in speech-language pathology and department quality assurance standards. Clinician incorporates principles of cultural-competence and family-centered care into clinical services.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION - Master's degree in Speech- Language Pathology or related field.EXPERIENCE - Seeking a candidate with experience and passion for patients with Augmentative and Alternative Communication.CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR; American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)-Speech-Language PathologistLICENSURE - State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license; Credentialing must be completed by the Medical Staff Office (MSO) within 3 months of employmentSalary InformationPay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $78,659.24 to $117,988.86Benefits InformationHere, you matter.
