Senior Accountant

Overview We are seeking an experienced and operationally driven Senior Accountant to join a growing CPG company entering its next phase of development and scale. This position is ideal for a hands-on builder who thrives in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments and wants to help establish and lead the accounting function. Key Responsibilities · At least 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in CPG, manufacturing, or product-based environments · Manage daily accounting operations with accuracy and efficiency · Oversee the general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close process · Work with the CEO and fractional CFO to ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting · Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management · Support payroll, sales tax, and regulatory filings in collaboration with external partners · Maintain and improve QuickBooks and Odoo accounting systems · Develop internal controls, policies, and procedures as the company scales · Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for leadership · Contribute to building the accounting department and mentoring future team members Qualifications · Strong understanding of GAAP and proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel. Experience in Odoo or similar ERP systems preferred · Proven ability to create and improve systems in growing organizations · Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA not required) Ideal Candidate The right candidate is both a doer and a builder, able to manage daily accounting needs while creating structure for the future.
