Trusted worldwide, MityLite products are found primarily in banquet, meeting, and event venues in the hospitality, education, government, and church markets.Overview:We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Corporate Controller to lead our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. This role oversees the general ledger, financial close process, internal controls, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. As a key partner to senior leadership, the Corporate Controller delivers reliable financial insights that support informed decision-making and drive organizational success.Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting departmentManage the payroll process and ensure accurate and timely payment to employeesCollaborate with external auditors during bank audits and the annual financial auditManaging month end close timeliness and accuracyRegulatory reporting with state agencies including sales taxesPreparing internal financial statements and producing external reports required by shareholders and regulatorsCoordinate insurance coverage and tax return completionTreasuryMonitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capitalEnsure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and reporting requirements (IFRS)Fixed asset and Lease Management, including management of Vehicle Fleet and Building LeasesQualifications:The following are qualifications that are necessary for a person to be considered for this position.Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Master’s degree preferred)CPA requiredMinimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance rolesWith 3+ years of Assistant Controller or higherStrong knowledge of financial management principles and practicesProficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Oracle, Netsuite, Microsoft BC) and MS office suitePrevious experience in public accounting is highly desirableStrong written and verbal communication skills for effective financial report writing
