Project Superintendent

The Project Superintendent is responsible for managing roofing projects from pre-start through final punch-out. This role focuses on jobsite execution, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, quality control, and communication.The owner handles estimating, drawings, and complex technical problem-solving. The Superintendent's responsibility is to execute the plan, keep jobs moving, and ensure projects are completed safely, cleanly, and professionally.This role typically manages 10–20 active custom roofing projects at any given time.Responsibilities:Project ManagementManage assigned roofing projects from award through completionCoordinate job start dates, schedules, inspections, and closeoutEnsure projects move forward without delays or missed stepsMaintain job readiness (materials, crews, access, sequencing)Subcontractor ManagementCoordinate roofing subcontractors (company crews or personal crews)Schedule crews based on project readinessMonitor daily progress and workmanshipVerify completed work before approvalTrack subcontractor labor and submit weekly payroll sheetsQuality ControlEnsure roofing systems are installed per plans and company standardsIdentify issues early and address them before escalationPerform thorough punch-outs prior to inspectionsMaintain clean, professional jobsitesCommunication & Customer ServiceServe as primary field contact for builders and homeownersCommunicate professionally by phone, email, and in personProvide clear updates on schedule, progress, and issuesEscalate design or technical questions to the owner as neededAdministrative & TechnologyUse a company-provided laptop (or personal if preferred)Read and understand blueprints and roof plansSend and respond to emails professionallyUpload job photos, notes, and updatesSubmit payroll, reports, and job documentation on timeQualifications:Construction industry experience (roofing preferred)Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyComfortable using a computer, email, and basic softwareAbility to read blueprints and roof plansStrong organization and follow-throughProfessional communication and customer service skillsClean driving recordAbout Company:Comanche Roofing specializes in high-end standing seam metal, TPO, and custom roofing systems for builders, commercial properties, and discerning homeowners across Central Texas.We're known for craftsmanship, custom fabrication, and taking on complex projects that other contractors avoid.
