Electrical Assembler
Job DescriptionJob SummaryAssemble, install or modify electrical equipment, test equipment, electric motors, control panels and batteries. General Accountabilities & Essential Functions:Plan new or modified electrical installations to provide access for future maintenance, avoid unsightly/hazardous wiring ensuring that it is consistent with specifications and local electrical codes. Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit. Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment. Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels. Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads. Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components. Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement. Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs. Clean workpieces or finished products. Repairs faulty equipment or systems. Conducts R & D work as necessary. Electrical CAD SkillsGood attention to detail and able to follow specific instructions & written plans/directions. General Computer Skills. Job Specifications & Physical Demands: Position performs in a manufacturing work area that includes walking, lifting, use of arms & hands, twisting and turning and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. Majority of time spent standing, bending or stooping. Minimum time sitting when performing specific assembly duties. Exposure to various conditions that will require the use of a respirator, safety goggles, steel toed shoes and gloves.
