Job Description
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This contract opportunity is designed for an experienced Occupational Therapist with a strong background in school-based settings, serving an elementary caseload. The role is located in San Jose, CA, and involves working across various school levels, including early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school environments.Key Responsibilities:Provide individualized occupational therapy services to students within an elementary school settingCollaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective intervention plansConduct assessments and monitor student progress to adjust therapy goals accordinglySupport the development of fine motor, sensory processing, and self-help skills to enhance student participation and success in the school environmentMaintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulationsParticipate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to comprehensive student support strategiesPreferred Qualifications:Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials to practice in school settingsProven experience providing OT services in schools, specifically with elementary-aged childrenFamiliarity with early childhood, middle, and high school student populations is a plusStrong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate within the educational communityAbility to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needsCommitment to student-centered care and advocacy within school systemsLocation: San Jose, CaliforniaThis position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on children's educational experiences by supporting their functional development and school participation.
