Laboratory Technician (Recent Graduates in Biology)

Job Title: Active Ingredient Technician MonolayerDuration: 10 MonthsLocation: Athens, GAPay Rate: $20/hourSchedule: 40hrs/week, 10hrs/day, 4:00 AM–2:30 PM shift with overtime, weekends, and holidays as neededDuties & Responsibilities Rabies vaccine requiredPerform activities associated with preparation of vaccine components in an aseptic clean room environment utilizing virus and cell culture techniques according to USDA regulationsEnsure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures during execution of processesAssist with training and coaching of current and new employees on required skillsComplete/Review in‑process documentation for accuracy and compliance in a timely manner; maintain technical data and support documentationParticipate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions to address problems; escalate production flow disturbancesDemonstrate visible and tangible commitment to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) programs and initiativesAssess individual performance in regard to continuous improvement (AAI)Participate and provide support to site projects and initiatives (including deviation and change control management)Skills & Qualifications Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detailKnowledge of clean room and aseptic techniquesBasic understanding of Lean Manufacturing PrinciplesBasic math skills and equipment/automation troubleshooting skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and other database software systemsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work in a team environmentDemonstrated problem‑solving abilityEducation & Experience Required: High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred: Biology degree or related fieldOne year or more of laboratory and/or manufacturing experience.
