Systems Engineer

Pay Range (All offers will be based on experience): $90,000.00 - $140,000.00/yr Job Type: Full-time Location: 100% Onsite. This position is located in Houston, TX, with the option to work onsite from our Florida location. Cimarron is seeking a System Engineer to support the Boeing's CST-100 Starliner spacecraft as a part of NASA's Commercial Crew Program. Key Duties Design and maintain digital system models using SysML and other modeling languages such as CAMEO to represent complex systems. Ensure system models are accurate, compliant with standards, and support engineering tasks such as analysis and decision-making. Capture and maintain traceability of system requirements within the architecture model, linking to relevant design artifacts. Integrate MBSE with digital engineering activities such as configuration management and system simulation. Translate customer reference architecture models into internal architecture models. Contribute to the continuous improvement of MBSE training, tools, and processes. Mentor systems engineers in MBSE best practices and tool usage. Required Skills, Experience, and Education Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at the time. Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use. This is a sensitive/safety‑sensitive position and is subject to DOT random drug and alcohol testing. This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired RealID‑compliant driver's license or state‑issued identification card at the time of hire. If you are unsure whether your ID is RealID‑compliant, please check for the star symbol in the upper portion of your driver's license or state ID. 5 or more years of experience developing MBSE system models using Cameo/NoMagic. Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF). Experience applying model‑based approaches on engineering projects and integrating models into architecture and digital engineering platforms. Bachelors degree in relevant field. Desired Skills, Experience, and Education Possession of an Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional – Model Builder Fundamental (OCSMP‑MBF) certification. Ability to provide technical and programmatic recommendations on the development, integration, and application of digital engineering and MBSE concepts. Cimarron is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
