Our work depends on Network Engineer Senior joining our team to install, operate and maintain network infrastructure, troubleshoot any issues and quickly remedy the problem.HOW A NETWORK ENGINEER SR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACTPerforms a full range of complex network support encompassing multiple technologies and technology layers (LAN, WAN, OS, IOS, ) within a single, enterprise networkPerform post design support to include installation, configuration, and tier II, O&M support for both enterprise and field deployed systems including local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and system level aspectsDesign network redundancy for backup connectivityTroubleshoot and analyze significant, complex network problems that require evaluation of intangibles, such as downstream effects on client satisfactionManage intellectual property such as IP address space, domain structure, and DNS infrastructureResearch network trendsEstablishes network users, user environments, directories, and security for networks being installedDevelops network, news, and host security policiesProvides users with network technical supportAn escalation point for Network Engineers/Analysts for Corporate Data Systems and service provider issuesEducation:WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science preferredCCNA preferredRequired Experience:5+ years of related experienceRequired Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of backup and disaster recovery scenarios, systems and methodologies (Backup Exec, RAID)Proven ability to deliver architectures that incorporate high availability, operations supportability and scalability – Technology life cycle perspectiveExpert-level background working with Cisco and Juniper switches and routers, monitoring solutions, load balancers, packet shapers, wireless solutions, system and operational management solutionsAdvanced understanding of business process implications underlying critical systems and networksDeliver detailed network assessments, design, cost analysis, implementation strategies, timelines and configuration guidance to project teamsExperience working with Cisco technologies and Data Center Networks Design, Set up and/or operationsSecurity Clearance Level: Secret to start, must be able to obtain TS/SCIRequired Skills And Abilities:Issue based consulting skills (consultant report writing skills, developing functional and infrastructure requirements, developing a multi-level architecture, communicating the architecture to stake holders detailed designers and implementers, and ability to tie business drivers and requirements to architecture decisions and features)Location:On Customer SiteCitizenship:US Citizenship RequiredPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift and carry 35lbsGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:401K with company matchComprehensive health and wellness packagesInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your careerProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certificationsCutting-edge technology you can learn fromRest and recharge with paid vacation and holidaysThe likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
