Pottery/Ceramics & Art Studio Assistant
We are currently hiring for our Quakerbridge Mall and Pennington locations. On top of your hourly wage you will receive tips.
We’re seeking a dedicated, energetic, and pottery-experienced Studio Assistant to join our team. The right candidate will help keep our studio running smoothly, support classes, and create a welcoming environment for all.
In addition to pottery, our studio also offers a walk-in art space where guests can enjoy pottery painting, candle making, and canvas painting.
Responsibilities:
Greet students & walk-in guests warmly and get them settled
Assist instructors during classes when needed
Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging atmosphere
Support students of all ages, including those with special needs or learning challenges
Prepare materials and set up equipment for lessons
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized studio
Manage clay recycling, trimming, and glazing tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Pottery experience required (wheel, trimming, glazing, and studio maintenance)
Previous experience as an assistant, instructor, or studio tech preferred
Strong communication skills with a friendly, problem-solving attitude
Ability to work independently and with diverse groups of children, teens, and adults
Artistic skills beyond pottery (painting, crafts, etc.) are a plus

Type: Part-time, Contract
Hours: 15–30 hours per week
Pay: $15/hr + tips
