Winter hauling salt and aggregates and SNOW PLOWING
Responsibilities
Safely operate dump trucks to haul materials such as gravel, dirt, asphalt, and debris within construction zones.
Conduct pre and post trip inspections of the dump truck, checking mechanical functions and safety features to ensure optimal performance.
Coordinate with site supervisors and other heavy equipment operators—including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, water trucks, backhoes, and horizontal drilling equipment—to facilitate seamless material movement.
Maintain accurate logs of loads transported, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance needs.
Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws while on-site and during transit to prevent accidents or injuries.
Assist with basic maintenance tasks on the dump truck and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Support other construction activities as needed, including operating auxiliary equipment like Caterpillar machinery or water trucks to aid project progress.
Operate snow plows and salting in the winter
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience operating dump trucks in construction or similar heavy-duty environments.
Mechanical knowledge to perform routine inspections and minor repairs on heavy equipment.
Familiarity with construction site safety standards and procedures.
Experience operating additional heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, backhoes, or water trucks is highly preferred.
Knowledge of construction processes including paving, horizontal drilling, tanker operations, and site grading.

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
