Programmer Technician

Coordinates work projects such as converting to new hardware or software.Establishes work priorities, evaluates cost and time requirements and makes recommendations for improvements in computer systems.Writes, reviews and test programs to ensure that programs meet objectives and specifications. Makes modifications and corrects existing programs.Performs series of tests, individually or in combination, on each component of computer systems, such as the central processing unit, video drivers and various system controllers. Determines criticality of component loss.Diagnoses problems and repairs computers and printers.Develop training programs and documentation for new or modified software, hardware, and plant information systems.
