Brooks Mechanical remains the trusted choice for reliable, budget-friendly HVAC services.Overview The Commercial HVAC Installation Technician is responsible for installing heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems in large commercial and government settings. This role ensures that HVAC systems are installed according to manufacturer specifications, local codes, and company standards while delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service. Due to special project work, this position requires availability for project-based, long-term overnight travel on a consistent basis. The length and frequency of travel will vary depending on active project assignments. Technicians have the opportunity to return home on weekends throughout each project. In recognition of the travel commitment, this role includes Travel Pay, Overtime compensation, and Potential Pay Rate Scale incentives as added benefits.ResponsibilitiesInstall HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, rooftop units (RTUs), and mini-splitsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to plan and execute installationsAssemble, mount, and secure HVAC components, ensuring proper alignment and operationConnect electrical wiring, piping, ducting, and refrigerant lines according to manufacturer specifications and local codesTest installed systems for proper operation, efficiency, and safetyDiagnose and troubleshoot installation issues, and adjust as neededEnsure all work areas are clean and safe during and after installationsCommunicate clearly with customers regarding system operation, maintenance, and warranty informationCollaborate with team members, project managers, and other trades to ensure timely and accurate project completionFollow all OSHA, EPA, and company safety standardsMaintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working orderQualifications MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR LONG-TERM, OVERNIGHT TRAVEL ON A REGULAR BASIS FOR PROJECT WORK.Minimum 3-5 years of HVAC installation experience Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsStrong mechanical and electrical aptitudeHVAC Certification [Technical school certification preferred]EPA Certification a plusValid Driver's License with ability to pass company's MVR requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly and adhere to all safety guidelinesFamiliarity with building codes, HVAC equipment manufacturers, and industry standardsWhat do we offer In exchange for your expertise, R.
