Bindery Operator

Why work with Point B? Point B Solutions is an extra ORDINARY printing and fulfillment company looking for a dependable, motivated Bindery Operator to join our production team.This is a day-shift opportunity with the potential to grow into a Bindery Lead position for the right person.We are looking for someone with experience operating cutting, folding, and gluing equipment who takes pride in doing quality work and getting the job done right.Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with a CAN-DO ATTITUDE — someone who shows up ready to work, is willing to learn, helps the team, and doesn’t wait to be told what needs to be done.About the Job: This position will report to the Bindery Manger. You are responsible for working with a variety of machines and ensuring that they are in good working condition and production quality control. Machines include working with folders, cutters, and stitchers. The operator is responsible for equipment operation and repair with a focus on coordination and collaboration across multiple departments and meeting production deadlines.Key Duties and Responsibilities: ·        Operate cutting, folding, and gluing equipment·        Set up and adjust equipment for different job specifications·        Read and follow job tickets and production instructions·        Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy·        Maintain consistent production speeds while meeting quality standards·        Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance·        Troubleshoot basic equipment and production issues·        Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe·        Work closely with other Bindery and Production team members·        Assist with hand bindery, kitting, packaging, and other finishing work when needed·        Meet production schedules and deadlines·        Communicate problems or concerns to the Bindery Manager·        Look for ways to improve efficiency and workflowJob Requirements:·        Previous commercial printing/bindery experience preferred·        Experience operating cutters, folders, and/or gluing equipment·        Ability to read and understand job tickets·        Strong attention to detail·        Good mechanical aptitude·        Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems·        Dependable and reliable·        Able to work independently while being a strong team player·        Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment·        Willingness to learn new equipment and processes·        Comply with Point B Solutions’ SOC II/HIPAA and all privacy policies as outlined in our yearly training program·        Most importantly a can-do attitude!Physical Requirements: ●       Ability to use hands, fingers, handle or feel and the ability to see, talk, and hear●       Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time●       Ability to reach with hand and arm’s length, climb or balance, stoop and kneel●       Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbsCompensation and Job Details: ·        Hourly based on experience and prior skills·        Benefits include: Health/Dental, 401k, quarterly profit sharing, company paid insurance (AD&D, LTD, STD), PTO and recognized company paid Holiday
