This role reports to the Operations Quality Director at MECC. Key aspects of this role include driving accountability in the disposition and closure of nonconformances in a timely fashion, collaborating with customer sites (downstream Medtronic facilities) on non-conformance investigation and resolution, driving a culture of collaboration and compliance across the Batteries Focus Factory (Includes High, Medium, and Low Rate Batteries), manage day to day operations, and manage continuous improvement/programmatic savings initiatives to reduce the overall quality risk within each Focus Factory.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Provides oversight for the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes and procedures that ensure compliance with policies and that the performance and quality of services conform to established internal and external standards and guidelines.Provides expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory and/or governmental regulations, and internal regulations to assure compliance.Works directly with operating entities to provide process analyses oversight on a continuing basis to enforce requirements and meet regulations.Leads audit and inspection preparation, resolution of audit and inspection findings and liaises with auditing groups and inspectors through all stages of the audits.Prepares reports and/or necessary documentation (ex Corrective and Preventative Actions) and provides to applicable stakeholders, both internal and external.Ensures the quality assurance programs and policies are maintained and modified regularly.Facilitates uniform standards worldwide and enables best practice sharing, thereby fostering the achievement of company's mission globally.Managing and develop engineers, supervisors, and technician personnel within the Quality function.Own Issues, drive solutions and implement improvements to maintain Quality Metrics for the Battery Focus Factory at MECC. Take initiative to establish Lean Philosophy within the team to streamline daily business processes.Lead quality related problem solving and root cause analysis during manufacturing.Create a culture of collaboration and proactive quality management within MECC Operations.Drive standard work to establish One Best Way across focus factories.Initiates steps to assure the company quality management systems in place are compliant to ISO 13485.Must Have: Minimum RequirementsBachelors degree requiredMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experienceNice to HaveAuditor certification4+ years of direct people management experience CQE or CQM certificationPhysical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. PR) locations (USD):$136,000.00 - $204,000.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
