Manufacturing Automation Engineer

Our site designs and manufactures temperature and flow sensor products. You will be actively involved in the launch of new physical products, the implementation of major improvement projects, and the resolution of issues with our current production processes.
Position Description
Subject matter expert in all software and controls at the plant: test scripts; machine controls; database, network, and PC support. Interfaces with manufacturing engineers, development engineers, and IT department to accomplish this.
Developing, improving, and troubleshooting automated machines and test stations that mistake-proof our process. We often take advantage of our own products and Industry 4.0 protocols for this.
Collaborate with the Product Development Team on design/development of new products and the 100% testing of all products produced in the plant.
Responsible for ensuring a 99.8 % First Pass Yield (FPY) and 99.8% equipment availability (uptime) for all test equipment. This will require data mining to determine top issues that need to be resolved.
Troubleshoot and resolve software-controlled manufacturing equipment.
Developing and improving operator interfaces.
Serve as safety leader to ensure work areas, new processes, procedures, and equipment have the required level of safety controls.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering field, or equivalent work experience.
Must be able to work on-site at our Malvern, PA facility. A maximum of 1 day/week remote work is possible after a 1-year orientation period.
In-depth understanding of C# required, other programming languages a plus.
Experience with MS Visual Studio, GitLab and Subversion desirable.
US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
2 to 5 years’ experience in the design and development of test software and applications.
Experience with Microsoft SQL server database management is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of our international organization.
Attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Self-disciplined and self-driven with a high sense of urgency to be a collaborative business partner.
Willing to acquire new skills and grow with the company.
Occasional overseas travel required (less than 5%).
