Laundry Attendant Lead - Dollywood's DreamMore Resort & Spa - Full Time Year Round

The ideal Laundry Attendant Lead will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.The purpose of the Laundry Attendant Lead is to be responsible for assisting the Laundry Manager in leading and coordinating the cleaning and delivery/pickup process of hotel linens to ensure guests and hosts experience a clean hotel. This is to be done all in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and operating philosophies of The Dollywood Company.Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.Summary of Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesKeeps Laundry Attendants and Drivers focused on work at hand and maintain productivity in the absence of the Laundry ManagerPerforms opening and or closing procedures, arm/disarm alarm system lock/unlock doorsSafely operates commercial washers, dryers and folding machinesLoads and unloads washing machines and dryersOperates the folders and other laundry equipment in accordance with the product specificationsCleans up machines and surrounding areas as necessary per shiftComplies with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basisOperates laundering equipment to ensure safe and thorough cleaning and pressing, keeping work area clean and safeHelps ensure laundry operations run smoothly by alerting the manager when equipment stops working properlySorts out all linen that needs to be donePushes and pulls linen carts that are full of linenParticipates in monthly linen inventoryMust be able to function in a team atmosphereCompletes other duties as assignedManagement reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any timeEducation and Experience RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentSix to 12 months previous commercial laundry experience preferredMust be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screenAbility to safely operate company vehicles according to company policy. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfacesRepetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functionsEnvironmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat.
