BHN is currently seeking aTherapeutic Mentorto join our youth and family programs in the greater Westfield area, supporting children with behavioral health challenges and their families.What We OfferComprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and retirement planGenerous paid time off and holidaysCareer advancement opportunities with one in three positions filled internallyOngoing training, supervision, and professional developmentA supportive, collaborative, and mission-driven work environmentRecognition as both a Certified Great Place to Work and one of Massachusetts' Top 10 EmployersPay: $21.50 - $24 per hourWhat You'll DoAs aTherapeutic Mentor , you will work one-on-one with children and adolescents to help them build life skills, strengthen coping strategies, and achieve success at home, in school, and in the community.Provide structured therapeutic mentoring in community, school, and home settingsReinforce treatment goals through modeling, coaching, and skill-buildingCollaborate with clinicians, caregivers, and school staff as part of a multidisciplinary teamSupport youth in achieving individualized goals and positive behavior changeHelp families navigate behavioral health systems and connect with resourcesDocument services accurately and in a timely mannerParticipate in treatment planning, supervision, and ongoing professional developmentWho You AreHigh School Diploma, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree requiredAt least 2 years of experience working with children required; experience with Serious Emotional Disturbance strongly preferredKnowledge of behavioral health, coping skills, and child developmentStrong mentoring, coaching, and communication skillsFamiliarity with child- and family-serving systems and community resourcesInterest in helping others and ability to create strategies that support goal achievementValid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable vehicle requiredComfortable with documentation systems, word processing, and emailWe Hire for Purpose!Since 1938, BHN has been dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable, and culturally responsive behavioral health services across Western Massachusetts.
