Job Description Clinical ASO/AST/Full Professor - Complex Family PlanningThe Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at our organization is on the lookout for a physician with expertise and/or fellowship training in Complex Family Planning (CFP) to become part of our Academic Specialist General Obstetrics & Gynecology Division.This faculty position provides a chance to engage in comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic practice, focusing on complex contraception, early pregnancy management, and second-trimester procedures. A keen interest in Labor & Delivery is essential. Our department is dedicated to teaching and research, featuring two current faculty members trained in CFP, a robust residency program, and expanding opportunities for clinical and collaborative research.Classification Title:Clinical ASO/AST/Full ProfessorJob Description:Clinical ResponsibilitiesDeliver care in early pregnancy management and complex contraception clinics.Conduct second-trimester procedures in the operating room.Engage in inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care, including Labor & Delivery coverage.Provide care for patients eligible under Florida's pregnancy care law exceptions (fatal fetal conditions and severe maternal indications).Collaborate with departmental faculty to enhance patient care, education, and research in family planning.Academic & Educational ResponsibilitiesInstruct and mentor medical students and residents in obstetrics, gynecology, and family planning.Contribute to didactic, simulation, and clinical education within the residency program.Participate in departmental committees, conferences, and academic initiatives.Engage in scholarly activities and/or clinical research, with opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration across our health system.About the Department & Our Health SystemThe Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at our organization offers comprehensive women's health services, ensuring high-quality patient care while upholding a strong commitment to education and research.Nearly 60,000 patient visits and 3,000 deliveries each year.Multidisciplinary programs in maternal-fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, urogynecology, and reproductive endocrinology.Active participation in clinical innovation, resident education, and NIH- and foundation-supported research.Expected Salary:Negotiable; based on education and experience.Minimum Requirements:MD or DO, or an equivalent degree is required.Must be board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) with ongoing clinical activity.All physicians must be ABOG Board certified or Board-Eligible.Eligibility for Florida licensure is necessary.Preferred Qualifications:Fellowship training in Complex Family Planning or equivalent experience.Proven excellence in patient care, teaching, and scholarly activities.Experience in collaborative, multidisciplinary care.Special Instructions to Applicants:Interested candidates must apply online.
