Position SummaryThe Senior Manager, Insights will play a pivotal role in shaping Calbee America’s growth by transforming data into decisive, consumer-led strategy. This leader will sit at the intersection of market intelligence and human insight, connecting syndicated data, consumer research, and cultural trends to unlock new opportunities for our brands. As a trusted strategic partner to Marketing, R&D, and Sales, this role will not only diagnose business performance but also define where to play and how to win by fueling innovation, strengthening brand equity, and accelerating demand. This is an opportunity to build and elevate a best-in-class insights function, embedding a true consumer-first mindset at the heart of every decision.Key ResponsibilitiesConsumer Insights LeadershipOwn and lead the end-to-end consumer insights agenda across brand and innovation Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research programs Translate consumer behavior, attitudes, and needs into clear and actionable insights Build and maintain a strong external partner network for research support Stay at the forefront of consumer insights methodologies and technology, including emerging AI-enabled tools, to continuously improve insight quality, speed, and impactData, Analytics & Insight ActivationIntegrate multiple data sources (consumer research, syndicated data, retail performance, digital analytics) into a cohesive view of the business Lead advanced data assessment to identify trends, diagnose performance, and uncover growth opportunities Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that track brand health, innovation performance, and key business KPIs Translate data into clear implications and recommendations that inform strategic decisions Partner with internal teams to ensure insights are embedded into business planning, innovation pipelines, and in-market execution Elevate the organization’s ability to move from data → insights → action, ensuring outputs drive measurable impactInnovation & Product Development SupportPartner with Marketing and R&D to guide innovation from concept to launchDesign research that reduces risk and informs go/no-go decisions Lead concept screening, product testing, and post-launch evaluationEnsure consumer feedback is embedded throughout the stage-gate processTranslate consumer feedback into clear implications for product, experience, and positioningStrategic Leadership & Capability BuildingServe as the voice of the consumer across the organizationBuild and scale insights tools, frameworks, and best practicesManage external research partners and vendorsInfluence senior stakeholders through compelling storytelling and data-driven narrativesRequirements/CompetenciesStrategic AcumenData Activation & Business Impact OrientationAdvanced Insights & Analytics ExpertiseInsight Generation & StorytellingInnovation & Product Development PartnershipCross-Functional Leadership & InfluenceRequired Qualifications & Skills 8-12+ years of experience in Consumer Insights, Market Research, or Analytics within CPG or food & beverageDeep expertise in syndicated data sources (SPINS, Circana/IRI, Nielsen) and retail analyticsStrong experience leading both qualitative and quantitative research methodologiesProven ability to translate data into strategic recommendations that drive business impactExperience supporting brand strategy, innovation, and commercializationStrong storytelling and communication skills, with ability to influence senior leadershipCollaborative, cross-functional leader with a consumer-first mindsetNorthern California, hybrid role (2-3 days per week onsite at our Fairfield, CA office).
