Head of Operations and Supply Chain Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC) in Gilbert, Arizona seeking an Operations and Supply Chain Leader to join our esteemed ATSC team in the defense industry, specializing in Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR). This position provides an outstanding opportunity for you to play a leadership role as we work together to create a world class operations and supply chain organization. The leader’s primary responsibilities are heading the operations and supply chain organization, establishing and improving operational cadence and processes, managing employee relations, and assisting in growth and development of staff and the company. The ideal candidate will have senior management experience in a dynamic setting and experienced in developing and refining processes, metrics, and controls. The leader will work closely with executives to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success for the company. The leader will guide staff development through identifying skills needs, delegating tasks appropriately and motivating project staff to provide outstanding customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Qualified candidates should have a proven record of successfully leading operation and supply chain, have experience in production, fabrication, and systems integration, well versed in the development of strategic plans, and an ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger growth organization. Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and continuous improvement of key initiatives. Draw on relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals. Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks. Devise strategies for ensuring the growth of programs enterprise-wide and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs. Adhere to the company’s policies and standards and ensure that laws and regulations are being followed. Adept at using analytics tools to summarize data and make insightful recommendations to support business decisions. Strong attention to detail, diligence, and follow-through. Work closely with peers to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment. Collaborate with senior managers in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans. Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration. Develop strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity. Work with leadership in the development of financial and budgetary plans. Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of ten years of progressive senior leadership experience in operations, planning, and supply chain management. Proven track record in production, fabrication, systems integration, and strategic planning. Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success. Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and employee management. Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity. Ability to streamline or implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands. Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines. Experience with subcontract supplier management. Experience with customer and government audits. EVMS experience is preferred. Must be a U.S. citizen. Ability to obtain a government security clearance preferred. Knowledge of ERP systems including MRP, MPS, Sales Orders, etc. Physical Demands & Work Environment: Work is typically performed in an operations and office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see. Must have the ability to lift 15-25 pounds.
