Job Opening: Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach<<local candidates only please>>Jewish Community High School located in San Francisco is seeking a Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach for the Winter 2026-27 season. The season begins on November 2, 2026 and ends in early February 2027.Experience/QualificationsA strong candidate would be someone with experience coaching basketball at the high school level - any additional experience is welcome. Potential candidates must be able to teach the fundamentals of basketball as well as be able to work and challenge higher level players. Religious affiliation NOT required.*Duties and Responsibilities1. Performing all duties assigned by the Athletic Director as they relate to the coaching and supervision of assigned team, compliant with JCHS Athletic Coaches’ Handbook.2. Perform all duties associated with planning, organizing and diligently supervising team activities (up to 4x practices per week + up to 2x games per week) while working in cooperation with other JCHS Coaches.3. Assessing player’s skills, monitors players during competition and practice, and keeps the Athletic Director informed of the athletic performance of students.4. Supervising athletes during practices and competition.5. Following established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.6. Modeling good sportsmanship behavior and maintaining appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.7.
